This location is a classic downtown Whole Foods Market. It is small without a lot of choices on the shelves. For those living downtown it makes for a convenient location to source more expensive high quality items for people like me and my girlfriend (health, organic, etc.)
We make great use of trips to this local for our veggies and fruits and the occasional food bar, great location with quick salad, deli and hot food options for on the go and decently priced for what they offer. nice patio out front to eat your food and do some people watching while possibly work from your laptop. Thumbs up!!! -

Good whole foods still not as large as the US as I like them because the larger stores have way more hot food but this one is ok and no line ups not like cambie which is always too busy

Chicken Noodle Soup, Pre whipped whip cream and the quality fruits and meats, cakes (Chantilly Berry, Carrot, Tiramisu) and tarts (Pear Tart with Almond Flour) are all my must buys from Whole Foods.

An hour of my life I'll never get back. I phoned 4th Ave. (very close to me) in the evening to ask if they have a supplement in stock. A woman whose accent was barely discernible said she didn't know about such things, to call back the next day. She works in whole body and doesn't "know about such things?" I needed this product for an urgent situation. I asked her to please look. She couldn't understand me so I had to spell each letter ("as as in apple" etc.). Then returned to play (or actually be) dumb.
So I called Cambie St. The whole body line was busy (for an entire hour - off the hook). One of the times I called, I hit one wrong digit for WB and asked if that wrong dept. could please transfer me to whole body, only to be told "I don't know how to do that." I tried many times, only to get a busy signal.
I then called Robson. Dial the last digit v-e-r-y slowly or it kicks into a busy signal right away. Once I discovered this trick, I directed my call to the whole body section. It rang until it ran out and I got a busy signal. I tried there a second time.
I then called the North Shore (good grief, must I go all the way over there?). Again the whole body dept. rang and rang and finally stopped and a busy signal ensued.
Who are they hiring at Whole Foods? Amazon/Whole Foods = big business/profits first.
For me, customer service is key. That's why I miss the predecessor, the locally-owned Capers, with their knowledgeable staff (a WF deli person wanted to know why I was asking if something was sugar-free - a health food store employee!?), personal customer service, and thick, more wholesome, not-smothered-in-salt, non-watered-down soups. -

Great hot bar would hot soups. The Tomato & Basil is particularly nice. Add a small salad and you've got a great lunch.
